Michigan Avenue Forum 2019

American culture is often described as a melting pot, but one could argue that a better metaphor for our nation is the potluck supper. By welcoming other religious traditions, valuing what each contributes, we can deepen our own faith. Inspired by his work with the Interfaith Youth Core and his recent book, Out of Many Faiths: Religious Diversity and the American Promise, this will be Eboo Patel’s approach in his opening talk for this year's Michigan Avenue Forum.

Join us on Tuesday, November 5 for a unique opportunity to hear three notable religious leaders—Cardinal Blase Cupich, Rabbi Wendi Geffen, and Eboo Patel—engage in a dialogue, sharing their own interfaith stories and exploring how each person’s religious tradition motivates him or her to love God and work toward community.
